Jerry R. Millington

Jerry R. Millington is the founder and principal of Brookmont Capital Ventures, a commercial real estate debt and equity capital stack advisory firm headquartered in Lanham, Maryland.

He advises multifamily investors, developers, value-add operators, bridge borrowers, refinance sponsors, and build-to-rent and mixed-use developers on how capital is structured — senior debt, bridge financing, mezzanine debt, preferred equity, and joint venture equity. Brookmont operates from the Mid-Atlantic with national reach.

Brookmont works as an advisor rather than as a brokerage. The distinction is not semantic. A brokerage is compensated for placing paper and is therefore indifferent to which structure a sponsor ends up inside. An advisor takes a position on structure before a lender is ever approached, and is accountable for that position. Millington built the firm around a segment the institutional advisory market has historically declined to serve properly: sponsors and developers in the $500,000 to $5,000,000 capital stack, who face the same structural questions as institutional borrowers without access to the same counsel.

The firm applies an AI-enabled underwriting and lender-matching process to that segment, which is what makes serving it economically coherent. The objective is not access to capital, which is a commodity. It is the removal of financing uncertainty, which is not.

Before founding Brookmont, Millington held roles at Pacific Oak Capital Management and led operating businesses in the restaurant and automotive sectors. That operating history shapes the firm's orientation toward sponsors as operators rather than as borrowers.

Brookmont Capital Ventures was founded in 2012 as Brookmont Holdings LLC and adopted its current name in 2022.
